Residential Property Managers and Building Owners
Take control of your building and reduce fuel costs with the OAS Heat Computer. If your building runs on a steam or hydronic boiler, you have experienced a rapid rise in heating oil costs in recent years. It is time to take action and reduce your fuel expenses this heating season.
The key to complete control is the Heat Computer's ability to monitor internal temperatures with wireless sensors, installed in a select number of representative apartments. When the majority of these apartments reach the pre-set temperature, the Heat Computer turns off the heat, reducing the run time of the boiler and resulting in a 15% savings* over the course of each heating season.
The Heat Computer empowers you to:
- Supervise all your buildings' steam & hydronic boilers with 24/7 remote web access.
- Manage your buildings' boiler, domestic hot water and internal room temperatures on an hourly basis.
- View boiler diagnostics to prevent future problems and make repairs immediately.
- Monitor daily history of boiler and heating system activities.
In addition to enabling you to take control of your buildings, we teach you how to do it. Our monthly Control Freaks™ Workshops guide you on how to operate the software, manage the diagnostics of your boiler and avoid potential problems. And we guarantee 15% savings in energy costs. Let us show you how.
Our optional Monitoring Service is available at no cost to you in the first year. With this service, we will monitor every building under your care, every day of the year. If we detect a problem within the Heat Computer system, your designated building managers will receive an email and a phone call to notify them immediately. Our system is on-call 24 hours a day for you.
I'm ready to be a Control Freak!
Already have the Heat Computer installed in your buildings, but you don't have remote Web access yet? Call our toll-free number 800-439-2260 or email us to find out more about our upgrade offer.
*With proper use of the Heat Computer system, you can save up to 15% on fuel
consumption for the lifetime of your building. Savings may vary depending
on ambient temperature conditions, boiler quality and maintenance, manual
override of the system, irregular boiler run times and/or pre-set
temperatures above the standard room temperature. If savings during the
first year are not realized, OAS will uninstall the heat computer and refund
the purchase price.

Heat Computer Questions
Increase the value of your Heat Computer installation by adding one or more of the following options:
- Oil tank level gauge - As an authorized integrator for Garnet Technologies, Inc., OAS provides direct readout of the level of oil in your fuel tank through the Heat Computer. You may check the level at any time or instruct the Heat Computer to send you an email if the level falls below a programmable level. Learn more about the Tank Gauge
.
- Stack temperature - Did you ever want to predict when your stack needs cleaning? By using the Heat Computer's stack probe option, you can monitor the flue temperature and schedule a cleaning before a high stack temperature becomes a problem or reduces your boiler efficiency, costing you lost $$$.
- Boiler makeup water meter - Steam systems notoriously have leaks. Some are obvious and some are hidden. A properly functioning makeup water system will add untreated water as needed. However, the more untreated water that is added, the quicker the contaminants collect, reducing boiler efficiency and possibly causing damage to the boiler itself. By monitoring the makeup water, you can both determine if leaks are present as well as schedule addition of chemical treatment to prevent boiler damage. OAS, in partnership with OCS Chemicals, can provide scheduled chemical treatment options.
